Thank you to everyone who added a submission to the Senate Inquiry on GP Shortages in our region. While submissions may be closed, there is still time to share your voice.

I know people living in the Eden-Monaro have been battling a critical lack of GPs for far too long. Too many people are being forced to wait weeks to see a GP – if they can see a GP at all.

I'm pleased to say the advocacy of the local residents and GPs is paying off. Thanks to our community pressure a Senate Inquiry has been set up to investigate the lack of GPs across regional and rural Australia like the Eden-Monaro.

We need practical solutions to fix this GP shortage. I will keep advocating to ensure this Inquiry isn't another box ticking exercise - because we need firm action and commitment to solutions.
