***Expressions of Interest are now closed - please sign up to my Grants Bulletin to be notified of future grant opportunities***

The people of Eden-Monaro are strong and dynamic. We have a solid culture of community spirit and service.

Which is why I am very pleased to announce that the ‘Families and Community Program - 2021 Volunteer Grants’ are again available for volunteer organisations in 2021.

Volunteer Grants support the work of local community organisations with a focus on the inclusion of vulnerable people and promoting participation in volunteering.

There is $132,450 available for Eden-Monaro not-for-profit organisations whose workforce consists of at least 40% volunteers.

Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 will be available to assist eligible community organisations.

Small portable equipment purchases, contributions towards the cost of training volunteers, reimbursement of fuel costs for volunteers and undertaking background screening checks for volunteers are examples of what these funds can assist with.

This grant will require applicants to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to my office which will be assessed by a local committee. Successful EOI applicants will then be invited to submit a formal application to the Department of Social Services.
